David Hamley is a graphic artist and illustrator who having studied Graphic Design at Art College, has been working commercially for many years. He has a passion for the style and innovation of the early 20th century and a love of the glamour of the early cinema era and it’s iconic stars. He works in a variety of mediums including ink, pastels and digital art and his work is often a composite of hand drawn and digital. Often using the female ‘muse’ as central to the subject, the images he creates often have an ethereal, dreamlike essence. Other work echoes the early pioneers of graphic design.
